In a world where the negative receives so much attention, we choose to focus on the positive. Our mission is to strengthen the family as a whole institution, physically, emotionally and spiritually, so that future generations will be influenced to change for the betterment of their lives. We celebrate dedicated men and women who help to make this mission come to life. We honor those who work tirelessly to uplift their community and extend a hand to those most in need. They truly are “outstanding people doing extraordinary things.”
Family Outreach of New Jersey, in partnership with C.A.R.E. Ministries, held an inspirational evening of dinner and entertainment and paid tribute to several honorees.
Proceeds from the banquet allowed us to reach even more families in need.
The Youth Explosion Talent Show was a huge success this year.
Our 1st year, over 400 people came out to support the children in this mega talent show and to watch 13 acts vie for a first place cash prize of $1,000. The grand prize winner was The Finger Singers. They used sign language while dancing to a song by Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five to mesmerize the audience. We use professional judges who determined the winners. Between the talents, FORNJ provided entertainment from comedians to local singers to a well-known Brazilian pianist and percussionist to a flash mob dance number. The energy in the building was positively electric.
Our 2nd year Youth Explosion was even more powerful than the 1st year. What is extremely powerful is the way the youth in the audience clapped, cheered and supported each performer as they took the stage. Our 1st grand prize winners were Jason and Felix who go by the name of Changed by Christ. Their Hip-Hop style of dancing caused the audience to jump to their feet in total excitement and amazement as their feet glided across the stage and they were totally in sync with each other.
On August 30, 2014, the 3rd Annual Youth Explosion at the Rutgers was held at the Nicolas Music Center, 85 George Street, in New Brunswick, NJ. Children aged 9-12, 13-18 and 19-25 competed with each other. Prizes will be announced shortly as well as a photo gallery from the evening.
All proceeds raised from the Youth Explosion were used to benefit underprivileged families of New Jersey. The Youth Explosion provides a positive outlet for children to gain confidence in their abilities while being supported by family, friends and the community. This exciting event hopes to empower, encourage, and engage the community.

H.O.N.E.Y is a component underneath the umbrella of Family Outreach of New Jersey. H.O.N.E.Y stands for Helping Our Neighbors Every Year. Our goal for this foundation is to raise money thru our non-profit organization by hosting various fundraisers throughout the year to be able to provide assistance to families who are struggling in various areas.
Once we have raised sufficient funds for the year, we then target families who have a special need. Our goal is to help those families financially as well as acts of kindness. There are families who are suffering and hurting who need a little love, some financial help and encouragement.
We do not despise small beginnings but it is our desire to grow financially so more families in need can benefit from H.O.N.E.Y.
